Currently I'm staying up really late, which I will regret later today, at the latest when I have to get up and go to work. I don't know why I often stay up late at night, to me it feels like I'm just vibing?

I'm very surprised that this winter is so cold! Usually we only have a very short period of time of snow, but this year it's already the third time we experience lots of snow.


My dad took these pictures of Randi. She looks exceptionally thick and tired, but also so so cute.


Currently I'm working on a manatee shrine. I'm doing it on Notepad++, like in the good old days when I coded entire websites in this program. It feels somehow nostalgic to use it. It surprised me that they added some quality of life features. Another reason why I use Notepad++ is, that I somehow feel embarrassed when I constantly "update" my website, although I'm only tweaking the css or a certain page. This way I can just upload the files when they're done and I'm ready for them.

I wish everybody a happy new year! I worked late shift and, despite the extremely stressful weeks before and after, it was a nice day at work. We grilled and gratinated some foods and ate them, and funny enough, we barely had to go to our patients while we had our meal. :)

After work, Andras picked me up and we celebrated at my parents' house with a nice dinner of filet steaks, pommes carées (fried with lots of garlic!), sautéed mushrooms and onions, and sauce béarnaise. We watched a Rolling Stones concert and part of a Madonna concert (during one song we thought that the women dressed as nuns were wearing diapers LOL. It was interesting.), and then there it was-- Midnight!

We had tiny amounts of sparkling wine and watched the firework outside -- by then we were sure that Randi has gone deaf, because she'd always been extremely afraid of fireworks, but this time she barely noticed it. Then Andras and I got home and showed each other some videos while almost falling asleep.

My colleagues and I drew who would be able to stay home on New Years Day, and it wasn't me, unfortunately. But well, our colleagues who worked the shift before us made it seem like there was a nightmare shift before us, so we had to call in our colleague who we sent to stay home before. But... It actually wasn't so bad. :I We were all sorry for our colleague who planned to actually drive home to her parents.

Since then, I'm almost working without a day between. Today I finally have a day off, which was already preoccupied with going to my doctor. Afterwards, I treated myself with my favorite Chinese food, and had lots of spare time, so it was still okay.

Also, this Winter has been really rough! I'm happy about it, because we didn't have such low temperatures and so much snow in years, but I personally actually don't like it that much. It's still freezing outside, and it makes for good pictures.


The weather outside! But, especially on the second image I see, that my camera lense is slowly dying. Lol.



I was surprised to see that the fleets are all frozen as well! In the background you can see some birds on the ice.




What I almost forgot to write, I'm still working on a pic of Andras' and my fursona. Almost 12 hours in (although it doesn't look like that) and I'm still not finished. I plan to be finished by the end of the month, because I want to have it printed, but I'm somehow struggling so much! Maybe because I didn't draw a lot in the last years.
